Crail is a historic lobster fishing village (population around 1500) - one of a string of picturesque East Neuk fishing villages - dating back to the 17th Century and earlier.

Much of the village is a conservation area with probably the best preserved (and certainly most photographed) stone harbour in Scotland.

Crail still retains a thriving sense of community with local shops, galleries & cafes

Crail is an ideal centre for coast walking, golf, cycling or simply relaxing in the sea air and a very convenient base for exploring St Andrews and the fishing villages of the East Neuk
